Our Kids session is a discovery introduction to the world of kiteboarding. From safely preparing the kite and flying in the wind window to successfully piloting on both sides, our child-oriented instructor ensures a safe environment, quick learning success and lots of fun. The little ones don’t need any previous kite-flying experience, and we provide them with all the equipment they need.
Suitable for all kids aged 8-11 who would like to discover the thrill of flying a kite. We show the little ones the fascination of kiteboarding in a playful way. Safety and fun are our top priorities here.
Safety
Lessons prioritise safety procedures, focus on kite control, safety systems, and rescue techniques, while providing personalised attention.
2-hour session structure
A 2-hour session includes a safety briefing, theory, hands-on practice, and a debrief to review your progress.

Kite setup
Learn to correctly rig and prepare your kite and lines for a successful and safe launch.
Pre-flight check
Conduct thorough equipment checks to identify and prevent any potential issues before launching.
Launch and land as an assistant
Practice safe kite launching and landing techniques, supporting other kiters as a reliable assistant.
First piloting and explore the wind window’s edge
Start piloting the kite to understand and control its position at the edge of the wind window.
Safety systems
Familiarize yourself with essential safety mechanisms and how to use them effectively in any situation.
Inflight quick release activation
Learn how to perform an emergency quick release while the kite is inflight for rapid safety response.
Fly one-handed
Brush up the basics of piloting with one-hand kite control, essential skill to trim the kite while flying and perform on water.
Preconditions
Please check whether you meet the following requirements before booking.
Age requirements
Children aged 8–11 can join the Kids Lesson. Older children are better suited for the regular Starter lesson.
Required experience
The Kids lesson is designed for complete beginners.
Swimming ability
Participants must be able to swim at least 20 meters and feel comfortable in open water and light waves.
Health requirements
Ensure your children is free from any acute injuries or illnesses to safely participate in the lesson.
Parental consent
By booking a lesson, you agree to the Terms of Service outlined in section 10. A parent or legal guardian’s signature is required for all participants under 18.
