Welcome to the water: In our Intermediate session you will learn all the essentials in the water. Your skills will be honed here – and so will in the water. Learn how to body-drag and move to both sides with complete control over the kite - using two hands and one at a time. You will also learn self-rescue and pack down. Our progressive lesson lays the foundation for advanced kitesurfing techniques and your first water start. You will receive professional instructions and we will provide you with all the necessary kiteboarding equipment.
Ideal for anyone who has successfully mastered the essentials of controlling the kite in our Improver lesson and is ready to step up into the water.

At this level, you’ll strengthen key skills like body-dragging upwind, practicing steady-pull techniques, and mastering your first water-starts with the board. You’ll learn how to enter and exit the water with confidence, recover your kite in deeper conditions, and take your first real rides under full control.
Spot, environment, activity assessments
Learn to check the basics of weather and tide before each session, monitor them throughout, select the appropriate equipment, and analyse spot conditions.
Enter and exit the water
Develop the ability to smoothly enter and exit the water while keeping the kite stable and under control.
Body-drag
Master the body-drag technique to move through the water without the board. Practice while moving downwind and upwind, using the kite's power zone to generate movement. Learn how to recover your board if you lose it.
Water self-rescue
Learn essential self-rescue techniques. Practice securing and packing down your lines while afloat, and use the kite to help you return safely to shore.
Steady-pull introduction
Develop the skills to generate a steady pull with the kite. Practive controlling the kite's power to pull yourself through the water in a stable position as preparation for standing up.
Water-start introduction
Combine your board and kite skills to perform your first water-starts. Learn how to steer the kite into the power zone, position the board correctly, and stand up smoothly to ride your first real meter on the water!
Setup packing
Properly pack down and store all your kiteboarding equipment to protect it and ensure it's ready for your next session. Practice handling lines, the bar, and the kite efficiently on the beach.

Preconditions
Please check whether you fulfil the following know-how requirements before booking.
Stable kite control
You should be able to control the kite confidently while walking, switching hands, and changing directions.
Enter and exit the water
You must know how to enter and exit the water safely while always maintaining full control of your kite.
Age requirements
Suitable for participants aged 12 and older. A legal guardian’s signature is required for all participants under 18.
Swimming ability
You must be able to swim at least 20 meters and feel comfortable in open water and light waves.
Health requirements
Ensure you are free from any acute injuries or illnesses to participate safely in the lesson.
