In our Progressive kiteboarding session, you will ride standing up on your board and control the kite at will. This lesson is perfect for elevating your skills, practising the water start in a steady pull, progressive way, standing up, and handling the flow for a few meters while maintaining full control of the kite. You will lay the foundation for kiteboarding in more challenging waters. You will also receive professional guidance from our instructors and ride in perfect shallow waters.
Safety
Lessons prioritise safety procedures, focus on kite control, safety systems, and rescue techniques, while providing personalised attention.

Ideal for riders who have already experienced their first water-starts and want to build confidence and control for longer, smoother rides.
At this level, you’ll refine your water-start technique, learn to ride with better speed control and edging, and master smooth stops and controlled transitions in and out of the water. You’ll also develop key independent skills like self-launching, reinforcing water relaunch, and understanding kiteboarding etiquette to share the spot responsibly.

Spot, environment, activity assessments
Learn to check the basics of weather and tide before each session, monitor them throughout, select the appropriate equipment, and analyse spot conditions.
Enter and exit the water while controlling the kite
Refine your skills to confidently enter and exit the water while keeping the kite stable and under control, even in challenging conditions or crowded spots.
Water relaunch
Master the technique of relaunching your kite from the water. Practice recovering the kite quickly and safely so you can keep riding.
Water-start
Build on your previous water-start skills. Improve your ability to position the board, steer the kite into the power zone, and stand up.
Controlled stop
Learn how to slow down and stop your board safely and on purpose. Practice staying in control at all times.
Speed control by edging
Master the skill of controlling your speed by edging the board correctly. Learn how to ride upwind, control power through your board and kite, and keep a steady speed in changing wind.
Self-lauch
Learn how to safely launch your kite independently, only when there's no assistance available. Learn the steps and precautions for a safe self-launch on the beach.
Setup packing
Properly pack down and store your kiteboarding equipment to protect it and ensure it's ready for your next session. Get practical tips for handling lines, kite, and bar.

Preconditions
Please check whether you fulfil the following requirements before booking.
Body-drag upwind
You should be able to body-drag upwind confidently, both with and without the board.
Enter and exit the water
You must know how to enter and exit the water safely while controlling the kite at all times.
Introduced to water-start
You should already be familiar with the basics of the water-start technique.
Age requirements
Suitable for participants aged 12 and older. A legal guardian’s signature is required for all participants under 18.
Swimming ability
You must be able to swim at least 20 meters and feel comfortable in open water and light waves.
Health requirements
Ensure you are free from any acute injuries or illnesses to participate safely in the lesson.
